Teeth Whitening

Having white teeth helps you make a good impression, and is important for your self-esteem. Many things we do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine or smoking.

At-home teeth whiteners can have limited results, and can take several days or even weeks before you see whiter teeth.

We use the Zoom^TM teeth whitening system, which takes less than an hour in our office. And results using Zoom are often twice as effective as those using tooth whitening products at home.

The Zoom system uses a bleaching process that lightens discoloration of your teeth's enamel and dentin. The procedure involves covering the teeth with a hydrogen peroxide-based whitening gel, and the application of the Zoom light to aid in activating the hydrogen peroxide.

As the Hydrogen Peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, bleaching colored substances on the surface of your teeth while the structure of the tooth is unchanged.
